| Features: | Depths of 10 to 80'. Common Gulf of California and southern coast of Baja to Panama. Solitary or form small groups. During the day they drift inside cracks, crevices, small caves and under ledge overhangs. May mix with Bigscale Soldierfish and Tinsel Squirrelfish. Forage in the open at night. Most common between 15' to 40'. They are wary when approached and will retreat deep into their hiding places but will return after a short time to peer out. |
