Panamic Sergeant Major![]() Range from 5-100'. Elongated, disk shaped. Usually black and silver to white head and belly. Often bluish and blue-green tints. Breeding males generally display a blue wash when courting or guarding eggs. Common from the Sea of Cortez to Panama. Generally form loose aggregations a above boulder-strewn reefs and slopes with good water movement. Most common in the 10-25' range. Breeding males aggressively guard their egg patches and will charge and nip intruders. They tend to ignore divers. | |
