Jewel Moray![]() They range in depth from 15-80'. They occur in the southern Sea of Cortez and Pacific Coast mainland to Panama. They inhabit rocky, boulder strewn areas and walls. They lurk in holes and crevices. Morays constantly open / close their mouths which is for breathing and not a threat. They can be curious and will often peer out from their holes exposing only their heads but will retreat if disturbed. | |
