| Features: | Depth range from 3 to 65'. Yellow to yellowish tail and wide rear borders on dorsal and anal fins. Junveniles have a blue upper body with yellow below and a dark blue spot with bright blue border overlaps upper rear back and adjacent dorsal fin. These fish are common along the Pacific Coast of the mainland of Mexico to Panama. They are solitary, inhabit rocky and coral reefs and rocky shorelines. Strongly territorial and aggressively attempt to chase away all intruders. |
