Barred Serrano Found at depths from 20 feet to 200 feet. Pale shades of brown to gray upper body, whitish lower body; darkish spots on dorsal and tail fins. Can be found Gulf of California and central coast Pacific Coast of Baja to Panama. Solitary or form small groups. Inhabit areas of sand and mixed rubble. Tend to ignore divers but will keep their distance and tend to retreat when approached. | |
