Enriched Air Diver Certification

This is the most popular Specialty Course offered by PADI! It's easy to understand why; enriched air nitrox gives you more no-decompression dive time and allows you to get back in the water sooner. That means you can stay down longer on repetitive dives. Enriched Air Diver Certification can be combined and taken with Open Water Diver, Adventure Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver. This course involves reading the manual, the PADI Enriched Air Diver manual and learning to use tables similar to the current recreational dive planners for air diving. The manual and tables are yours to keep! You need to read the manual and answer the Knowledge Review questions then review them in class and watch a video. The class can be done in 3-4 hours after the manual has been read. Aquatic Sports and Adventures offer the opportunity to dive 2 tanks of Enriched Air Nitrox as part of the training. Alternately, you can perform two predive simulations in lieu of the actual dives.

What You Learn:

• Techniques for getting more dive time by using enriched air nitrox
• Enriched air scuba diving equipment considerations
• Enriched air considerations, including managing oxygen exposure, how to tell what's in your scuba tank and how to set your dive computer

Prerequisites:

• Be 15 years or older
• Have a PADI Open Water Diver certification (or have a qualifying certification from another organization)

Take the Full Course with Aquatic Sports and Adventures and you will receive a PADI Enriched Air Diver Manual and a set of tables similar to the Recreational Dive Planner.
